Acrostia Quickstart package performing different than the live demo + bugs

Hi,

I installed the latest Acrostia quickstart package. The package states that it is version 1.08, but since the latest is 1.09 and contains Helix 2.5, which this package seems to, I am assuming it is actually 1.09.

Anyway, here are the differences/issues I am experiencing with between the quickstart package that I loaded vs the live demo. These differences are apparent before and after I updated joomla to the latest package.

My site:

1.) When it loads, sometimes the Home menu is highlighted in blue, but most of the time when it loads, the Services menu is highlighted in grey. If it loads with the Home menu highlighted in blue and you reload it, it will almost always reload next with the Service menu highlighted in grey.

Live Demo Site:

1.) Always loads with no menu item highlighted, no matter how many times you reload it. This seems more correct to me.

My site:

2.) On a Note 9 Android phone in portrait mode, the site loads with the mobile menu icon not visible on the screen because the website is actually wider because of a white vertical strip that is added to the right of the page. The white vertical strip is pushed outside of the screen viewing area so that you have to swipe left in order to move the whole page over to see it. You can then see the menu icon and use it, but it is quite odd that it does this.

When you change to landscape mode from portrait mode, the website does not resize as it should, and it is far to large for the website to fit on the screen - you have to pinch to reduce the size of the website in order to view it correctly. The white vertical strip is not a part of the page in landscape mode.

If you load the site from a blank page while in landscape mode, it loads and operates correctly, but when you then switch from landscape mode to portrait mode, the website does not resize as it should. It make the website to small for the screen because the page shown now includes the white vertical strip on the right where the mobile menu is located.

On a Iphone SE, the site seems to load and work as it should in both portrait and landscape mode.

On a iphone 7, the site works correctly in portrait mode, but not in Landscape mode. In Landscape mode, the slider text is to large and the mobile menu reloads the site any time it is touched.

Live Demo Site:

2.) On the note 9, it operates as it should, both in portrait and landscape and also switches between the two modes properly.

On the Iphone SE, the live demo does not work correctly in either portrait or landscape mode. The slider function is to large.

On the iphone 7, the website performs just like my installation, incorrectly in landscape mode.

There are probably other issues, but I thought I should start with these obvious issues I noticed right away in order to get a sense why there are differences between the demo and my installation and also to report the bugs.
