Saving of joomla template fails

New Issue
PS Scrollite Stella
  • (1 Ratings)

I have the PS_SCROLLITE template working fine in a Joomla 3.3.0 environment. Everything seems fine except the following:

When I go to the Template Manager and choose to save the template, I get a blank white screen displayed on the front-end. To correct this, I have to restore a saved version of the database.

I found this out when i tried to change a template parameter, so I tried it without even changing any parameters.

Please advise... thanks!

Emails sent to you as requested.
I also sent an email with two versions of the template_style table from the database. One is from the good installation and the other is after I selected to save the template in the Template Manager (no changes prior to save). You'll note the file sizes are quite different as though some data is not getting saved.

Thanks!

Hi Stella,

Thank you for your details!

We saw your Joomla admin-side and your email. Can you re-install our quickstart package on your server again, because something missing while installed our package on your server(now your admin-side fully collapse because of data saving failed on your database). So kindly try it again or please give us your site ftp access details we'll do it for you.

I reinstalled the quickstart package and it works fine... until I upgrade Joomla. Once I upgrade to Joomla 3.3, I get the blank screen on the frontend again.

My site should not be needed to track this down since it's a Joomla upgrade issue.

Good luck and thanks.

The quickstart package installs a Joomla 3.2 version. Has anyone (besides me) tried to upgrade this version to Joomla 3.3? I found the described problem occurred when I allowed Joomla Upgrade to install the Joomla 3.3 .0 version.

Problem was the version of Helix did not work with J3.3
