How to remove index.php from Joomla URLs

In this tutorial we shows how to remove index.php from URLs in Joomla 3.

If would like to remove index.php from URLs in Joomla 3 then you should enable Use URL rewriting in Joomla 3.x. and rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

For enable URL rewriting in Joomla, you should do the following steps:

• First you need to logged into your Joomla dashboard.
• Next see the top menu, go and click on 'System -> Global Configuration'.
• Then find 'Site' tab and click on it.
• In the right side of the tab page, find the 'SEO Settings'
• Set 'Use URL rewriting' option to 'Yes'
